Baptisms
Baptism cleanses us from original sin, makes us beloved children of the Heavenly Father, and makes us members of the Body of Christ. The Church encourages infants to be baptized within the first several weeks after birth. To begin the process for having your child baptized, please click here.
First Reconciliation and First Communion
First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion are for children enrolled in our school or religious education program. Those preparing for these sacraments must be 1) members of Good Shepherd, 2) in second grade or above, and 3) enrolled in our school or religious education program. Confirmation
Confirmation conforms us more closely with Jesus and prepares us to serve as his witnesses in the world. Students preparing for Confirmation must be 1) members of Good Shepherd and 2) in 8th grade or above. For more information about our Confirmation program, Fr. Ben Wittnebel.
Holy Orders and Consecrated Life
Men and women interested in pursuing a vocation to priesthood, diaconate, or consecrated life should contact Fr. Ben Wittnebel or at 763.544.0416, ext. 812 to receive more information.
RCIA
Those interested in becoming Catholic as well as originally baptized Catholics interested in completing religious formation for entering or returning to active participation in the Sacramental Life of the Church are welcomed through the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults). Adults interested in learning more about the Catholic faith, or even about becoming Catholic, Fr. Ben Wittnebel.
Marriage
The Sacrament of Marriage is meant to foster a spousal love that manifests and reflects the great love that God has for his people. Those desiring to be married at Good Shepherd should contact the parish office to begin the preparation process at least six months before their desired wedding date. Anointing of the Sick
The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is the proper sacrament for those whose health is seriously impaired by illness, injury, or old age. The sacrament may be repeated. If you or somebody you know needs to receive this sacrament, please call the parish office (763.544.0416, ext. 810). In the event of a sacramental emergency (danger of death), please call 612.567.0535.
Mass Intentions
Mass Intentions may be for the living and the departed. There is a suggested stipend of $7.00 per Mass Intention. Please call the parish office (763.544.0416, ext. 810) if you would like to schedule a Mass Intention.
