Children's Liturgy of the Word

Children’s Liturgy of the Word – This ministry is currently on a break. Please contact Fr. Ben Wittnebel for more information.

Adults who have a passion for sharing the Liturgy to children and can bring energy around the weekly theme of the Readings should consider volunteering for this ministry! We provide all the materials for the kids and a format of how the process works. In the past, we have had enough volunteers to have only needed to serve four times a year! We hope we can continue this great opportunity for our young people.

What is Children's Liturgy of the Word?
Children ages 5 through 8 are dismissed before the Liturgy of the Word and gather to hear the Sunday Gospel reading in an age-appropriate format. Afterwards the children return to Mass before the Liturgy of the Eucharist. In all, it is generally about twenty minutes. No registration for children to participate.
